Mrs Darlington’s jams are packed full of delicious fruit and made to traditional recipes that remain unchanged after all these years.

Mrs Darlington’s selection of zesty marmalades are sure to suit every taste, from traditional medium cut to tantalising combinations such as whisky, gin, brandy or ginger.

Mrs Darlington’s Curds are smooth, creamy, sweet spreads. Usually made with citrus fruits, its main ingredients are egg yolks, sugar, fruit juice and zest, butter or margarine. You can use it as a delicious alternative to jam. Spread it thickly on your scones, toast, baguettes and croissants, or use it as a filling for cakes, pastries and tarts.

The Mrs Darlington’s Story

Marion Darlington started making her award-winning range of products in the 1980s. Now 84 years young, Marion still oversees all recipe creation in the family business – there are few to rival her skill in creating preserves and chutneys with such a fabulous homemade taste.

A little bit of quality in a town centre that has seen better days. Split into two, one side offers a wide variety of spices, sauces, etc – many of which come from South Africa and other parts of the continent. The other is a cracking, very reasonable butchery with a big selection, including biltong and all at a reasonable price. Worth the drive!
