Job Description:

Jamie’s Quality Butchers is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Counter Assistants for the upcoming busy summer period. As a Counter Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our bustling establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Face to Face Customer Service:
    Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanour, assisting them with their inquiries, and providing expert advice on our range of products.

  • Replenishing Shelves:
    Monitor stock levels and ensure shelves are adequately stocked with fresh products, maintaining an attractive and organised display at all times.

  • Taking Payments:
    Process customer payments accurately and efficiently, handling both cash and electronic transactions with precision.

  • Cleaning Serving Area:
    Maintain a clean and hygienic serving area, including countertops, display cases, and equipment, to uphold our standards of cleanliness and food safety.

  • General Business Needs:
    Assist with various tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the business, including assisting other team members and performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Customer service experience preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Working Hours / Salary:
Working hours would be a 5 day week, ideally working from 12pm – 5.30pm with weekend availability or alternatively we also have 9:30am till 2:30pm with weekend availability. Successful candidates can discuss their hours and days off with us as we’re very flexible.

Hourly pay would be dependant on experience.
